HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Shares closed higher on both the national stock exchanges this morning.

On the HCM City Exchange, the VN-Index edged up 0.52 per cent to end at 582.83 points.

With the exchange of nearly 88 million shares, the total trading value reached VND1.14 trillion, or US$54.28 million.

With the gainers being more than double the number of losers, the VN30-Index advanced 0.17 per cent to reach 652.54 points.

The gainers included Masan Group (MSN), Vinamilk (VNM), Vietcombank (VCB), real estate giant Vingroup (VIC) and Bao Viet Group (BVH).

Among the losers were PetroVietnam Transportation Corporation (PVT), Becamex IJC (IJC), Gemardebt (GMD) and Da Nang Rubber Corporation (DRC).

In Ha Noi, the HNX-Index earned 0.42 per cent to close at 82.5 points, while the HNXFF-Index closed this morning with a gain of 0.45 per cent to finish at 82.44 points.

The HNX30-Index added 0.91 points, or 0.56 per cent, to reach 165.15 points.

With more than 54 million shares changing hands, the total value reached nearly VND513 billion, or $24.4 million. — VNS
