The State Bank of Viet Nam has set the daily reference exchange rate for June 1 at VND22,566 per US dollar, down VND29 from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 per cent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is VND23,243 per US dollar while the floor rate was VND21,889 per US dollar.

Opening hour rates at commercial banks continued to fall compared to May 31.

Vietcombank reduced both rates by VND30, listing the buying rate at VND22,765 per US dollar and the selling rate at VND22,835 per US dollar.

BIDV also listed its buying and selling rates at VND22,765 per US dollar and VND22,835 per US dollar, repectively, representing a reduction of VND25 for both.

Meanwhile, Techcombank pegged its buying rate at VND22,745 per US dollar and its selling rate at VND22,845 per US dollar, down VND20 for both rates. — VNS
