HA NOI (Biz Hub) —The Nikkei 225 tumbled 489.66 points, or 3 per cent, to close at 15,422.40, while the Topix Index slipped 29.40 points to close at 1,269.08 in Tokyo on January 14.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index also lost 97.48 points to end at 22,791.28, while Singapore's Straits Times Index declined 11.74 points to end at 3,123.8.
In the Chinese mainland, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 17.28 points to finish at 2,026.84. The VN Index also climbed 1.20 points to 522.31 in HCM City, while the HNX Index added 0.64 points to end at 71.69 in the capital city. — VNS
