HA NOI (Biz Hub) —The Nikkei 225 added 112.37 points to reach 16,291.31---its best annual performance in over four decades---on Monday, when the Topix Index gained 12.22 points to end at 1,302.29 in Tokyo.
The Hang Seng Index rose 1.63 points to reach 23,244.87, while the Shanghai Composite Index edged down 3.72 points to finish at 2,097.53 on mainland China, and the Straits Times Index rose 1.68 points to end at 3,151.4 in Singapore.
However, two bourses in Vietnam ended lower. The VN Index lost 6.06 points to hit 500.35, and the HNX Index lost 0.98 points to end at 66.95 in the capital city. — VNS
