HA NOI (Biz Hub) —The Nikkei 225 jumped 25.60 points, ending at 14,467.14, to top Asian shares on Wednesday while its country-mate Topix Index (TPX) stayed flat, losing 0.69 points to finish at 1,196.78.
Investors in Viet Nam also saw higher scores, with the HNX Index in the capital gaining 0.36 points to end at 61.12 while HCM City's VN Index added 3.24 points to end at 498.96. The Straits Times Index (STI) in Singapore also gained 6.53 points to finish at 3,171.8.
In China, the Hang Seng Index (HSI) lost 108.19 points to close at 23,228.33 while the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) dropped 40.34 points to 2,193.07. — VNS
