HA NOI (Biz Hub) —Japan's Nikkei 225 jumped 132.03 points to close at 14,693.57, topping Asian shares, on Monday while its country-mate Topix Index (TPX) added 6.84 points to finish at 1,212.36.
The Hang Seng Index (HSI) followed close behind, gaining 98.05 points to close at 23,438.15 while the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) closed up 35.46 points at 2,229.24. The Straits Times Index (STI) in Singapore gained 3.59 points to finish at 3,196.5.
Investors in Viet Nam also saw higher scores, with the HNX Index in the capital city gaining 0.41 points to end at 61.93 while the VN Index in HCM City added 0.74 points to end at 501.07.— VNS
