HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Nikkei 225 jumped 309.17 points, ending at 15,278.63 to lead Asian markets on Wednesday, while the Topix Index (TPX) rose 18.18 points to finish at 1,250.49 in Tokyo.
Meanwhile, the Hang Seng Index (HSI) in Hong Kong also gained 74.59 points to close at 23,143.82, the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) lost 2.79 points to finish at 2,148.29 on the other hand.
The Straits Times Index (STI) also lost 3.94 points to finish at 3,063.6 in Singapore.
Viet Nam's two burses ended mixed. The VN Index slipped 0.42 points to finish at 505.25 in HCM City, but the Ha Noi HNX Index gained 0.08 points to end at 66.95 in the capital city.— VNS
