HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Nikkei 225 index added 237.41 points to 15,619.13, the best finish since its May 22 close of 15,627.26 - its highest close in more than five years on Monday while its fellow Topix Index (TPX) also gained 0.88 per cent to 1,259.61 in Tokyo.
In the other move, both Chinese Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) closed down 10.26 points at 2,186.12 and the Hang Seng Index (HSI) declined 11.83 point to 23,684.45.
