HA NOI (Biz Hub)— The Nikkei 225 peaked at over 15,000 points after gaining 289.51 on Friday to close at 15,165.92 in Tokyo, while the Topix Index (TPX) also added 20.09 points to finish the week at 1,239.04.
The Hang Seng Index (HSI) posted the best results of the day, rising 383.00 points to close at 23,032.15. Other gainers included the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP), which added 35.320 points to close at 2,135.83, while the Straits Times Index (STI) edged up 10.19 points to finish at 3,201.3.
In local markets, the VN Index jumped 3.49 points to end at 501.34 in HCM City, and the HNX Index in Ha Noi nudged up 0.23 points to close at 63.70.— VNS
