HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Major indices across Asia ended lower on Wednesday even as bourses in Viet Nam and China ended mixed.
The VN index gained 3.18 points to close at 617.26, but the HNX edged down by 0.04 points to finish at 91.21.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index lost by 159.19 points to close at 23,263.33 while in mainland China, the Shanghai Composite Index added 18.92 points to close at 2,382.79.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 lost 187.85 points to finish at 15,595.98 and the Topix Index fell by 16.04 points to end at 1,274.85.
In Singapore, the Straits Times Index declined by 17.28 points to close at 3,226.71. — VNS
