Most Asian markets end higher, except Japan

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Japanese indices slid on February 12, while other Asian markets saw an uptick.

The Nikkei 225 slid 66.26 points to 17,913.36, while the Topix Index lost 0.01 points to close at 1,449.38 in Tokyo.

On the other hand, the Hang Seng Index jumped 260.39 points to reach 24,682.54 in Hong Kong, while the Shanghai Composite Index gained 30.41 points to close at 3,203.83 in mainland China.

The Strait Times Index also gained 2.78 points to end at 3,421.95 in Singapore.

The two bourses in Viet Nam ended higher on the same day. The VN Index gained 2.57 points to close at 587.24, while the HNX added 0.55 points to finish at 85.26.— VNS
