HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Indices in the Asian market remained buoyant on January 7.
The Hang Seng Index added 195.85 points to reach 23,681.26 in Hong Kong and its fellow bourse the Shanghai Composite Index gained 22.51 points to reach 3,373.95 on mainland China.
The Nikkei 225 was up 2.18 points and closed at 16,885.33 and the Topix Index slipped 1.34 points to close at 1,359.80 in Tokyo.
In Singapore, the Straits Times Index edged up 16.41 points to end at 3,298.36.
The two bourses in Viet Nam also closed higher on the same day. The VN Index added 2.39 points to close at 552.05, and the HNX gained 0.37 points to finish at 84.18. — VNS
