Most Asian indexes end higher

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Hong Kong led the Asian markets on February 17 with the Hang Seng Index rising 239.82 points to reach 22,538.23.

The Shanghai Composite Index climbed 19.57 points to finish at 2,135.42 in mainland China.

While the Nikkei 225 added 80.08 points to reach 14,393.11, the Topix Index slipped 8.23 points to hit 1,192.05 in Tokyo.

The Straits Times Index gained 30.18 points to end at 3,068.9 in Singapore.

The two bourses in Viet Nam ended mixed. The VN Index slipped 2.02 points to finish at 570.20 in Ho Chi Minh City, while the HNX Index gained 0.88 points to close at 79.64 in the capital city.— VNS
