HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Asian market closed with mixed results on the last day of 2014.
The Hang Seng Index added 103.94 points to reach 23,605.04 in Hong Kong, and its country mate, the Shanghai Composite Index in mainland China, increased 68.86 points to close at 3,234.68.
In Singapore, the Straits Times Index slipped 0.96 points to end at 3,365.15.
The two bourses in Viet Nam closed higher on the same day. The VN Index added 8.06 points to close at 545.63 , and the HNX edged up 2.07 points to finish at 82.98.
As Japan was off for its bank holiday, the Nikkei 225 remained at 17,450.77, and the Topix Index closed at 1,407.51 in Tokyo. — VNS
