HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Shanghai Composite Index in mainland China climbed 85.07 points to finish at 3,157.60, leading the Asian market to close upward on December 26.
The Nikkei 225 added 10.21 points to reach 17,818.96. The Topix Index gained 6.24 points to close at 1,427.50 in Tokyo. Meanwhile, the Straits Times Index edged up 7.77 points to end at 3,352.68 in Singapore.
Two bourses in Viet Nam ended with mixed values. The VN Index edged up 1.26 points to close at 533.37. However, the HNX slipped by 0.91 points to finish at 81.14.
Meanwhile, the Hang Seng Index closed unchanged at 23,349.34 in Hong Kong as of the Christmas holiday. — VNS
