HA NOI (Biz Hub) — National stocks made gains this morning, with the VN-Index on the HCM City Stock Exchange adding 0.44 per cent to close at 605.40 points.

Trading value stood at VND1.2 trillion (US$56.6 million) and the trading volume was nearly 67.2 million shares.

The VN30 Index, tracking the bourse's top 30 shares, closed the morning session at 646.42 points, up 0.2 per cent with 14 gainers and 9 losers.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index also gained 0.45 per cent to end at 82.19 points. Blue chips in the northern market lifted the HNX30 Index 0.68 per cent higher to reach 166.56 points.

As more than 41 million shares were exchanged, the trading value reached VND473.9 billion ($22.35 million).

Securities shares were favoured during the session, including Saigon Securities (SSI), VNDirect (VND), Bao Viet Securities (BVS), BIDV Securities (BSI), HCM City Securities (HCM), Kim Long (KLS), Sai Gon-Ha Noi Securities (SHS) and Vietinbank Securities (CTS). — VNS
