HA NOI (BizHub) — Shares extended the rally in HCM City this morning but retreated in Ha Noi.
On the HCM City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index added only 0.36 per cent to 514.24 points, while it rose nearly 3 per cent yesterday.
However, losers outnumbered gainers by 101-85.
Trading value eased more than 7 per cent compared to yesterday morning's level, reaching VND927.3 billion (US$44.15 million) as nearly 60 million shares changed hands.
Among blue chips tracked by the VN30, the number of tumbling and advancing stocks was both 11.
The index closed at 575.91 points, a 0.2 per cent rise.
On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index lost 0.36 per cent to 63.30 points.
Market value and volume reached VND222.5 billion ($10.5 million) and 28.45 million shares.
The HNX30, representing the northern bourse's 30 largest shares in terms of capitalization and liquidity, shed 0.37 per cent to 122.33 points. — VNS
