HA NOI (Biz Hub) — National stocks retained their rising momentum during this morning's trading.
On the HCM City Stock Exchange, blue chips were really active, assisting the VN30 Index to rise by 0.53 per cent to close at 620.49 points.
The index, tracking the performance of the 30 largest stocks, saw the rise of 16 codes, with the Ocean Group Company (OGC) reaching the ceiling price.
Meanwhile, eight codes tumbled, including Hung Vuong Corporation (HVG), Petro Vietnam Drilling (PVD) and Da Nang Rubber (DRC), while six stocks remained unchanged.
The benchmark VN-Index advanced 0.75 per cent to stand at 591.65 points, on a total turnover of VND585 billion ($27.8 million).
On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 86.26 points, rising 1.16 per cent.
The trading value reached more than VND189.77 billion ($9.03 million), as investors exchanged nearly 15.9 million shares.
The top 30 stocks on the northern bourse sent the HNX30 Index up by 1.34 per cent to finish at 167.4 points. — VNS
