HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Many Asian stock indices ended higher on Tuesday.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange ended up 136.56 points at 18,603.48, while the Topix index of all first-section issues rose 0.36 per cent, or 5.45 points, to 1,508.28.
Viet Nam's benchmark VN-Index closed at 9.71 points to end at 596.95 on the HCM City Stock Exchange, and the HNX-Index climbed 1.13 point to end at 86.39 on the Ha Noi market.
In China, the Hong Kong Hang Seng Index slid 0.4 per cent to end at 24,750.07. Mainland China markets have been closed since February 18 for the Lunar New Year holiday.
Singapore's Straits Times Index closed 16.31 points higher at 3,437.61. — VNS
