HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Major indices across the Asia-Pacific Region finished the week mixed on October 17.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 fell by 205.87 points to finish at 14,532.51, and the Topix Index lost 18.28 points to end at 1,177.22.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index increased by 122.27 points to close at 23,023.21 while in mainland China, the Shanghai Composite Index declined by 9.38 points to close at 1,323.52.
In Singapore, the Straits Times Index added 13.52 points to end at 3,167.730.
In Viet Nam, the VN index slipped by 1.89 points to close at 585.28 while the HNX edged up by 0.88 point to finish at 87.64. — VNS
