HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian markets ended lower on January 29.
The Hang Seng Index fell by 265.96 points to close at 24,595.85 in Hong Kong, and the Shanghai Composite Index in mainland China decreased by 43.43 points to close at 3,262.30.
The Nikkei 225 lost 198.51 points to stand at 17,606.22, while the Topix Index slipped 16.34 points to close at 1,413.58 in Tokyo.
The Straits Times Index also lost 0.10 points to end at 3,419.05 in Singapore.
The two bourses in Viet Nam ended lower on the same day. The VN Index lost 0.48 points to close at 579.30, while the HNX fell 0.28 points to finish at 86.95. — VNS
