HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Major Asian indexes ended lower on October 13, with the exception of the Japanese indexes which stayed unchanged.
As Japan had a day off for its Sports Day, the Nikkei 225 stayed unchanged at 15,300.55 and the Topix Index also remained at 1,243.09.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index added 54.84 points to reach 23,143.38, while in China, the Shanghai Composite Index slipped 8.53 points to close at 2,366.01.
The VN Index fell 3.50 points to close at 614.22, and the HNX edged downed 0.02 points to finish at 90.42. The Straits Times Index slid 21.72 points to end the day at 3,202.15 in Singapore. — VNS
