HÀ NỘI — Industrial real estate stocks gained ground on Thursday morning, cushioning the market.
The benchmark VN-Index on the Hồ Chí Minh Stock Exchange rose 0.64 per cent to close Thursday morning at 894.99 points.
The index had lost 0.09 per cent to close Wednesday at 889.32 points.
More than 246 million shares were traded on the southern exchange, worth VNĐ8.4 trillion (US$364.5 million).
Market breadth was positive with 242 gainers and 144 decliners.
The blue-chip tracker VN30-Index gained 0.67 per cent to close at 829.93 points.
The best performing large-caps in the industrial real estate stock group included Sonadezi Corporation, up 8.3 per cent, Sonadezi Châu Đức Shareholding Co (SZC), up 6.1 per cent, Long Hậu Corporation (LHG), up 3.8 per cent.
The minor HNX-Index on the Hà Nội Stock Exchange rose 0.14 per cent to end Thursday at 126.11 points.
The northern market had gained 0.90 per cent to end Wednesday at 125.93 points.
Nearly 25.7 million shares were traded on the two local exchanges, worth VNĐ297 billion. — VNS
