Japan shares lead the region

Both Vietnamese national exchanges experienced a lower ending with the HNX Index dropping 1.1 points to 63.79 and the VN Index losing 6.34 points to finish at 510.69.—Photo tygiavang
HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Shares in Tokyo ended higher than other markets yesterday.

Both Vietnamese national exchanges experienced a lower ending with the HNX Index dropping 1.1 points to 63.79 and the VN Index losing 6.34 points to finish at 510.69.

Singapore shares also lost ground, with the Straits Times Index slipping 3.25 points to 3,287.83.

In China, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 27.16 points to end at 2,271.16 while the Shenzhen Component Index dipped 130.58 points to 9,120.66

Yet Tokyo stocks closed at 2.05 per cent, the highest level in three weeks. The headline Nikkei 225 index added 271.94 points to close at 13,533.76 and the Topix index of first-section shares edged up 28.52 points to 1,125.47.— VNS
