HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Major indices across Asia ended higher on October 9 except for Japan.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index increased by 271.20 points to close at 23,534.53 while in mainland China, the Shanghai Composite Index added 6.58 points to close at 2,389.37.
In Singapore, the Straits Times Index increased by 32.54 points to end at 3,259.25.
In Viet Nam, the VN index gained 7.08 points to close at 624.34 and the HNX edged up 0.14 points to finish at 91.28.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 lost 117.05 points to finish at 15,478.93 and the Topix Index lost 14.07 points to end at 1,260.78. — VNS
