Japan and Singapore buck Asian share price fall

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Share prices in stock markets across the Asia-Pacific region declined on November 18 except for Japan and Singapore.

In Japan, the Nikkei 225 jumped by 370.26 points to finish at 17,344.06, and the Topix Index added 28.75 points to end at 1,394.88. The Straits Times Index in Singapore ended higher by 25.06 points to end at 3,313.73.

In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index lost by 267.91 to close at 23,529.17 while in mainland China, the Shanghai Composite Index declined by 17.64 points to close at 2,456.37.

In Viet Nam, the VN Index in HCM City declined by 6.68 points to close at 594.25, and the HNX in Ha Noi edged down by 0.62 points to finish at 90.25. —  VNS
