HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Shares continued to rise on both bourses this morning.

The VN-Index on the HCM City Stock Exchange rose by 0.64 per cent, reaching 525.66 points.

The trading value remained at a high level of VND994.3 billion (US$46.9 million) as nearly 70 million shares were transacted.

The VN30, comprising the city's largest shares in terms of capitalisation and liquidity, also rose 0.54 per cent to touch 583.74 points.

Five of the blue chips retreated, while 12 added value.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index finished at 72.76 points, up 1.5 per cent as over 37 million shares worth VND359.6 billion ($16.9 million) changed hands.

Other indexes also advanced, with the largest increase of 2.5 per cent belonging to HNX30 tracking the northern bourse's 30 top shares.— VNS
