HCM CITY — The HCM City Stock Exchange (HOSE) yesterday began construction of a VNĐ300 billion (US$14.3 million) standby data centre, due to cover a 5,000sq.m area in the Quang Trung software park.
HOSE chairman Trần Đắc Sinh said the facility would be the largest and most modern of its kind in Việt Nam. It would be equipped with a new information technology (IT) system that enables more stable stock market operations and helps develop other IT infrastructure services.
Deputy Minister of Finance Trần Xuân Hà said the centre would have multiple functions to serve market members, securities companies and the ministry's agencies in the southern region. — VNS
