Hong Kong and Singapore buck Asian market rise

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Share prices in stock markets across the Asia-Pacific region posted gains on December 3 except for Hong Kong and Singapore.

The Hang Seng Index slumped by 225.68 points to close at 23,428.62 in Hong Kong, and the Straits Times Index lost by 11.67 points to end at 3,310.65 in Singapore.

In Japan, the Nikkei 225 rallied by 57.21 points to reach 17,720.43, and the Topix Index added 1.9 points to close at 1,429.75. The Shanghai Composite Index in mainland China increased by 15.98 points to close at 2,779.53.

In Viet Nam, the VN Index gained by 5.45 points to close at 574.88, and the HNX Index edged up by 0.72 points to finish at 88.57.— VNS
