HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The HNX-Index gained 0.11 per cent to close at 83.24 points, with 23.9 million shares being traded, worth VND296.2 billion (US$14 million).
The HNX30-Index was the main contributor to the rise of the HNX-Index, increasing by 0.35 per cent to finish at 157.86 points. The index recorded a trading volume of 15.8 million shares, worth VND189 billion. Large-cap shares, including PVS, PVC and PLC, raised their share values by 1.19 to 2.58 per cent.
However, on the HCM Stock Exchange, the VN-Index dropped by 0.61 per cent to close at 557.49 points, and the VN30, tracking the top 30 shares by market value and liquidity, dropped by 0.28 per cent to stand at 588.54 points.
Overall, bank codes gave a positive performance. MBB and STB, which were listed in the VN30, raised their share values by 0.73 and 0.52 per cent respectively. Other bank codes, including BID and CTG, in turn, raised their market values by 2.3 and 1.1 per cent respectively. Only VCB's market value dropped slightly by 0.28 per cent this morning.
The HAI Agrochem Joint Stock Company (HAI) closed the morning session as the top stock, with more than 9.8 million of its shares being traded. However, its share price fell by five per cent to reach VND13,300 each.
Liquidity was low, with just 45 million shares worth VND866.7 billion ($41.2 million) being traded by the end of the morning.
