HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Hang Seng Index climbed above the 25,000 level on April 1, while other Asian indices slipped lower.
The Hang Seng Index added 181.86 points to reach 25,082.75 in Hong Kong. The Shanghai Composite Index also added 62.40 points to close at 3,810.29 in mainland China.
On the other hand, the Nikkei 225 lost 172.15 points to close at 19,034.84, while the Topix Index fell 14.12 points to end at 1,528.99 in Tokyo.
The Shanghai Composite Index decreased 38.67 points to stand at 3,747.90 in mainland China, while the Straits Times Index edged up only 0.01 points to reach 3,447.02 in Singapore.
The two bourses in Viet Nam ended lower on the same day. The VN Index lost 12.22 points to close at 538.91, while the HNX also slipped 1.80 points to finish at 80.47. — VNS
