HA NOI (Biz Hub) —The Hang Seng Index added 42.51 points to reach 22,888.76 in Hong Kong, leading the Asian markets on January 13.
Two bourses in Viet Nam also gained. The VN Index rose 2.17 points to 521.11 in HCM City and the HNX Index added 0.28 points to end at 71.05 in the capital city.
However, the Shanghai Composite Index slipped 3.73 points to finish at 2,009.56 in mainland China, and the Straits Times Index declined8.38 points to end at 3,135.5 in Singapore.
Closed on the occasion of Coming of Age Day, Nikkei 225 stayed at 15,912.06 and the Topix Index remained at 1,298.48 in Tokyo. — VNS
