HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Hang Seng Index added 24.64 points to reach 24,756.85 in Hong Kong, making its eighth straight high on July 31.
The Shanghai Composite Index added 20.32 points to finish at 2,201.56 in mainland China. The Straits Times Index increased 20.41 points to end the day at 3,374.1 in Singapore.
Two bourses in VN also gained. The VN index rose 6.74 points to close at 596.07 and the HNX added 0.98 points to reach 79.26 in the capital city.
Japan was the only exception of the day. The Nikkei 225 lost 25.46 points to end at 15,620.77 and the Topix Index closed down 2.82 points to end the day at 1,289.42. — VNS
