Chinese markets face losses


The Chinese and Singapore markets fell on July 30, but other Asian markets ended higher.

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Chinese and Singapore markets fell on July 30, but other Asian markets ended higher.

The Hang Seng Index lost 121.47 points to close at 24,497.98 in Hong Kong, while in mainland China, the Shanghai Composite Index lost 83.40 points to end at 3,705.77.

Singapore's Straits Times Index also lost 30.17 points to finish at 3,253.83.

On the other hand, in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 gained 219.92 points to reach 20,522.83. The two bourses in Viet Nam also ended higher. The VN Index added 1.87 points to close at 626.57, and the HNX Index gained 0.69 points to stand at 85.80. — VNS
