Chinese markets close down, other Asian indices rise

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — While the indices in China shed points on February 6, other Asian markets closed up.

The Hang Seng Index lost 88.10 points to close at 24,679.39 in Hong Kong and the Shanghai Composite Index slipped 60.62 points to close at 3,075.91 in mainland China.

The Nikkei 225 added 143.88 points to close at 17,648.50, while the Topix Index gained 7.08 points to close at 1,417.19 in Tokyo.

The Straits Times Index rose 24.78 points to end at 3,431.36 in Singapore.

Both the bourses in Viet Nam closed up on the same day. While the VN Index added 6.96 points to close at 574.13, the HNX gained 0.70 points to finish at 83.87.— VNS
