HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Chinese shares gained on Friday while other markets fell back. The Hang Seng Index (HIS) gained 43.42 points to end at 23,249.79, while the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) added 7.95 points to 2,149.56.
Japan's Nikkei 225 lost 126.37 to close at 14,201.57, and the Topix Index (TPX) lost 11.23 points to finish the week at 1,183.03 in Tokyo. The Straits Times Index (STI) in Singapore slipped 9.47 points to finish at 3,201.2.
While the VN Index declined 0.33 points to end at 497.08 in HCM City, the HNX Index rose slightly by 0.45 points to end at 62.08 in the capital.— VNS
