Bamboo Airways Joint Stock Company has raised its charter capital to VND18.5 trillion (US$814 million) from VND16 trillion, according to the National Business Registration Portal.

This is the fourth time the carrier has increased its charter capital since the beginning of 2021.

The additional capital, which is private capital, didn’t change the proportion of ownership.

Data from the business showed that on June 1, the largest shareholder of Bamboo Airways was Trinh Van Quyet, Chairman of the Board of Directors of this firm, as well as FLC Group, FLC Holding Capital, and FLC Faros, with a 94-per-cent stake.

The remaining 5.75 per cent was owned by other individual and organisation shareholders.

In the latest change in April, the airline had its charter capital raised from VND12.5 trillion to VND16 trillion. — VNS
