HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Share prices in markets across the Asia-Pacific region continued to shoot up on October 31, which was celebrated in a number of countries as Halloween.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index increased by 296.02 points to close at 23,998.06 while in mainland China, the Shanghai Composite Index increased by 29.10 points to reach 2,420.18.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 added 755.56 points to finish at 16,413.76, and the Topix Index gained 54.74 points to end at 1,333.64. In Singapore, the Straits Times Index added 39.94 points to end at 3,274.25.
In Viet Nam, the VN index gained 11.70 points to close at 600.84, and the HNX edged up by 1.24 points to finish at 88.03. VNS
