HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Most Asian shares to close downward on August 20.
The Hang Seng Index fell from its 23,000 milestone, dropping 410.38 points to close at 22,757.47 in Hong Kong, while the Shanghai Composite Index lost 129.82 points to end at 3,664.29 in mainland China.
The Nikkei 225 lost 189.11 points to end at 20,033.52 in Tokyo, while Singapore's Straits Times Index also lost 31.47 points to end at 3,009.78.
In the local market, the VN Index lost 11.13 points to close at 566.69, and the HNX Index dipped by 1.12 points to close at 78.55. — VNS
