HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Nikkei 225 gained 386.33 points to reach 15,808.73 on January 15, leading the Asian market, while the Topix Index also added 25.44 points to close at 1,294.52 in Tokyo.
The Hang Seng Index also gained 121.26 points to end at 22912.54 in Hong Kong, while the Straits Times Index edged up 13.90 points to end at 3,137.7 in Singapore.
Two bourses in Viet Nam also ended higher: The VN Index rose 2.46 points to 524.77 in HCM City, and the HNX Index added 1.01 points to end at 72.70 in the capital city.
The only loser was Shanghai Composite Index, which slipped 3.49 points to finish at 2,023.35 on mainland China. — VNS
