HA NOI (Biz Hub) —The Hang Seng Index gained 76.80 points to reach 22,664.52 in Hong Kong, leading the Asian markets on February 19.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite Index closed up 23.49 points to finish at 2,142.55.
In Southeast Asia, the Straits Times Index also gained 18.01 points to end at 3,088.8 in Singapore, while the two bourses in Viet Nam ended higher. The VN Index gained 3.56 points to reach 578.12 in HCM City and the HNX Index added 1.29 points to end at 82.33 in the capital city of Viet Nam.
The shares in Japan ended lower on the other hand. The Nikkei 225 lost 76.71points to close at 14,766.53 and the Topix Index also declined 5.48 points to close at 1,218.52 in Tokyo. — VNS
