HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Japanese Nikkei 225 gained 51.25 points to reach 14,462.52, while its counterpart, the Topix Index, slipped 1.61 points to close at 1,164.33 in Tokyo, on March 19.
The Hang Seng Index shed 14.81 points to end at 21,568.69 in Hong Kong, while the Shanghai Composite Index in mainland China declined 3.46 points to close at 2,021.73. The Straits Times Index lost 14.20 points to end the day at 3,079.6 in Singapore.
However, in the same day, Vietnamese investors in both the bourses ended the day on a positive note. The VN Index added 5.74 points to reach 605.59 in HCM City, and the HNX Index in the capital city of Viet Nam gained 2.08 points to reach 89.68. — VNS
