HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian markets ended higher on Tuesday, May 19, except for the Strait Time Index, which fell 5.53 points to close at 3,454.04 in Singapore.
The Nikkei 225 gained 136.11 points to end at 20,026.38, while the Topix Index added 6.67 points to close at 1,633.33.
Also, the Hang Seng Index added 96.58 points to close at 27,689.84 in Hong Kong, while the Shanghai Composite Index also jumped 134.06 points to close at 4,417.55 in mainland China.
Additionally, the two burses in Viet Nam ended with the VN Index increasing 7.87 points to close at 536.82 and HNX Index adding 0.93 points to close at 77.44 in Viet Nam.— VNS
