HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian markets closed on a mixed note on May 14.
The Nikkei 225 lost 194.48 points to end at 19,570.24, while the Topix Index slipped 12.72 points to close at 1,591.49.
Meanwhile, the Hang Seng Index added 37.27 points to close at 27,286.55 in Hong Kong, and the Shanghai Composite Index also gained 2.55 points to close at 4,378.31 in mainland China.
The Strait Times Index increased 2.61 points to end at 3,455.78 in Singapore.
Two burses in Viet Nam ended higher: the VN Index added 0.87 points to close at 543.69, while the HNX Index added 0.18 points to close at 79.55.— VNS
