HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian markets closed on a mixed note on May 12.
The Nikkei 225 gained 3.93 points to end at 19,624.84, while the Topix Index added 3.94 points to close at 1,602.27.
The Shanghai Composite Index increased 67.64 points to close at 4,401.22 in mainland China.
On the other hand, the Hang Seng Index lost 311.02 points to 27,407.18 in Hong Kong. The Strait Times Index also slipped 26.65 points to end at 3,444.15 in Singapore.
With two burses down in Viet Nam, the VN Index lost 7.26 points to close at 544.41, while the HNX Index slipped 0.61 points to close at 79.15.— VNS
