HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Local shares closed mixed in both Viet Nam and China on Wednesday. The HNX Index rose 0.39 points to 64.46 but the VN Index lose 1.24 points to 515.09.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.12 percent, or 2.70 points, to end at 2,324.02. The Shenzhen Component Index dipped 0.39 percent, or 37.29 points, to 9,404.40.

Singapore shares ended lower with the Straits Times Index slipping 38.61 points to 3,367.47. Some 4.18 billion shares, valued at S$1.95 billion were traded. Losers outnumbered gainers 316 to 162.

In Tokyo, the Nikkei added 0.10 per cent, or 14.48 points, to 14,326.46, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares gained 0.91 per cent, or 10.60 points, to 1,178.87.— The Straits Times/China Daily/ANN/VNS
