HA NOI (Biz Hub) —Stock markets closed mixed in Asia on Wednesday while both sharemarkets in Viet Nam reported positive gains.The HNX Index gained 0.15 points to close at 60.19, while in HCM City, the VN Index climbed 1.87 points to finish the day at 476.40.
In China, the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) gained 3.28 points to close at 2,241.27, while the Hang Seng Index (HSI) shed 39.51 points to close at 22,937.14 in Hong Kong. In Singapore, the Straits Times Index (STI) lost 15.70 points to finish on 3,108.2.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 (NKY) advanced 1.71 points to 14,425.07, while the Topix Index (TPX) fell 0.97 points to end trading at 1,189.25.— VNS
