HA NOI (Biz Hub) —Asian shares closed down on Thursday. In Ha Noi, the HNX Index lost 0.67 points, finishing at 61.52, while HCM City's VN Index lost 1.70 points, closing at 492.48.
In China, the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) lost 12.16 points, closing at 2,021.17, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index (HSI) declined 67.97 points, closing at 21,900.96. The Straits Times Index (STI) also gained 41.27 points, finishing at 3,233.5.
Shares in Tokyo ended lower with the Nikkei 225 (NKY) losing 168.35 to end at 14,562.93, while the Topix Index (TPX) also declined 17.60 points to close at1,202.32. — VNS
