HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian stocks advanced with the Nikkei 225 gaining 133.60 points to reach 14,411.27. The Topix Index also rose 11.01 points to close at 1,165.94 in Tokyo on March 18.
The Hang Seng Index added 109.55 points to end at 21,583.50 in Hong Kong, while the Shanghai Composite Index in mainland China gained 1.52 points to reach 2,025.20.
The Straits Times Index added 1.70 points to end at 3,093.8 in Singapore. Meanwhile, the two bourses in Vietnam ended mixed. The VN Index lost 0.58 points to finish at 599.85 in HCM City, but the HNX Index edged up 1.29 points to reach 87.60 in the capital city of Viet Nam. — VNS
