HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian shares closed higher on August 10, except for the Hang Seng Index, which lost 31.25 points to close at 24,521.12 in Hong Kong.
The Shanghai Composite Index added 184.21 points, or nearly 5 per cent, to reach 3,928.42 in mainland China. In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 gained 84.13 points to end at 20,808.69, while Singapore's Straits Times Index also increased 5.27 points to end at 3,196.66.
In Viet Nam, the VN Index gained 10.77 points to close at 614.53, and the HNX Index added 0.53 points to close at 84.41.— VNS
